Richard started his sales career in what seems like an eternity ago, knocking on doors selling office equipment in London’s West End. The following years were spent recruiting and working with sales and business development teams to drive organisational, team and individual change.

He has held senior sales leadership positions across a range of blue-chip, start-up and not-for-profit organisations and have retained a passion for all things sales.

Since 2015 Richard has been a Chair with Vistage, working with SME owners, MDs and entrepreneurs, helping them to grow better businesses and become better leaders.

Vistage Chair.  Leading a peer-to-peer advisory board to support SME business leaders in realising their potential, growing their businesses and improving their leadership. This includes providing one-to-one coaching and supporting members in clarifying strategy and purpose.  

Linkfresh – Interim Sales Director. Brought on board to spearhead aggressive growth following a plateau and prepared the business for sale.  Developed and introduced a highly effective sales process and recruited a business development director for the US. Enabled successful sale.

Auto Windscreens – Interim Sales Director. Tasked with restoring stability, direction and strategic clarity following a turbulent period. Led successful contract negotiations, introduced a framework for key account management and recruited a replacement.

EEF – Interim Sales Director o Navigated this trade association for manufacturers through a period of major change. This involved a comprehensive redesign of the sales structure, leading change implementation, recruitment, development and leadership of induction and sales training and establishing a foundation for growth.
