Experience

In 1978, Ray formed his own company having leased his first garage leading to a successful business in the motor industry, both in the retail sector and vehicle rental markets, culminating in a chain of sites.

In 1998, he formed another limited company, working with international brands within the facilities management and franchising industries, employing more than 400 staff. During this period Ray’s management experience was additionally sought after by the accounting and legal professions to assist in company re-structuring and flows of communication.

Whilst continuing to run RLS Management Services Limited, in 2014, he took on the position of COO of Midlands based organisation, a rapidly expanding company supplying thermal protection solutions, primarily to the pharmaceutical industry. Formed in 2012, the company developed to having manufacturing and distribution in America, Ireland, India, Australia, and the Far East, Ray’s primary responsibilities included co-ordination of the company expansion, formulation and obtaining agreements on contracts, structure of the workforce and HR management, setting and maintaining budgets.

His passion is to mentor and advise start-ups and SME’s in good business practices.
