Paul’s innovative approach to problem solving has supported Tier 1 primes, SMEs and Start Ups as a Mentor, CEO coach, Bid/Gate review leader and Non-Executive Director, the latter including a volunteering role as a Director of a Multi Academy Trust of 13 schools and providing non-executive horsepower to several SMEs, many involved in sensitive Governmental work.

Experience

• 23 Year military aviation career, now reinforced by eight years in business.
• Experience in multiple operational theatres, including deployed command in Afghanistan.
• Delivery of over 20 Urgent Operational Requirements (UORs) as a Requirements Manager.
• Scoped and supported the acquisition of over £1Bn of new Chinook helicopters.
• Negotiated the ‘Valley of Death’ for several key novel technologies, including many uncrewed systems.
• Led numerous Gate and ‘Black Hat/Red Hat’ reviews for companies ranging from Start Ups to Tier 1 OEMs
• Regulatory aware, and highly attuned to Risk Management (programmatic, technical, operation)
• Served as Non-Executive Director in High Technology Start Ups, and in Education as a board member of a 13-school Multi Academy Trust
• Experience in multiple sectors; aerospace, Defence, maritime, uncrewed systems and nuclear inter alia
• Part of the Senior Leadership Team for a number of NATO funded studies.
