Experience

Padraig started his career in finance, gaining experience in various accounting roles and organizations. He developed a strong foundation in financial management, reporting, budgeting, and strategy. Early on, he had the opportunity to work on acquiring an SME, where he served as a Financial Controller and member of the leadership team.

Padraig later joined the International Securities Market Association (ISMA) and the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD). At ISMA he further developed skills in financial reporting and strategy, and at the EBRD contributed to key projects such as the implementation of a company-wide finance solution, SAP.

In management roles at the EBRD, Padraig worked closely with department heads and Managing Directors to drive IT strategy, responsible for delivering critical systems for various departments to achieve efficiencies and cost savings.

In December 2018, he decided to return to the SME world, seeking a hands-on role in a growing organization. After leading a strategic review, Padraig convinced their fellow Directors that selling to a larger competitor was essential for the company’s future growth. He successfully led the sale of the company in January 2023, working with various teams to structure the deal. This was a significant achievement for him in leading an SME to its next stage of business development.
