Summary

James founded, grew and sold a “dotcom” start-up in 2000. Since then, he has been a freelance project manager specialising helping businesses with technically challenging projects.

Large clients have included the United Nations where he helped specify IT to support the LRIT treaty and Kings College London & Tata Hospital India, where James helped them specify a project to apply machine learning (AI) to the diagnosis of mouth and neck cancers.

Smaller clients have included Dulwich College (IT turnaround) and Focusrite PLC where James helped them implement systems and processes prior to their listing on AIM.

This state school became insolvent in 2015 and suffered a collapse of its financial and IT systems. James was volunteered to assist in the turn-around and they broke-even in 16/17 and have a balanced budget going forwards.
