How To Value Your Company: Audited Business Valuations
Audited Business Valuations
Want to know the value of your business?
What Do We Do?
The Boardroom Advisors team conducts valuations tailored to your business specifically. Our experts, including the Chartered Accountants company, will study your finances, operations, and management to produce a 20+ page detailed, audited business valuation report.
We include actionable recommendations that can help you increase the value of your business. And if you want to maximise your future business valuation, we also offer strategic reviews through our director-level services.
How Do We Do It?
To conduct a precise business valuation, the Boardroom Advisors team will need to collect the following information from you:
- Hard data from relevant business documents, such as your financial statements and company records
- Qualitative information on your business from background research and interviews with directors
Once we have all the data, we study it and compare it with over 2,000 other UK-based businesses with the same SIC (Standard Industrial Classification) code. That way, we can understand how your business is performing compared to others and identify areas where you could improve.
How Does It Work?
As soon as your business contacts us for an audited business valuation, one of our advisors will request the financial statements and business documents needed for a proper audit.
When we go through the documents, we will contact you and schedule a short meeting. We will ask you specific questions about company operations, products, and services.
After collecting all the important information, we will need five working days to review the data, audit it, and develop a full report. Then finally, we will send you the report in both digital and physical formats.
Why Get Your Business Valued?
Business Planning
Whether trying to grow your business or preparing an exit strategy, you need to know the current value of your business. An accurate business valuation is essential for making informed decisions about your company’s future.
Selling Your Business
When you sell your business, you want to ensure you get the best possible price. An independent business valuation can help you determine a fair selling price and avoid being taken advantage of by buyers.
Retiring Shareholder
When shareholders retire, their successors need to know the value of the business for tax purposes. A professional business valuation can help determine the company’s fair market value.
Divorce Settlement
If you are going through a divorce, you and your spouse must determine how to divide your assets. Getting an external business valuation will give you an objective view of your company’s value.
Probate
When a family member passes, their estate must go through probate. The court will need to know the value of the deceased’s assets, including any businesses they owned.
Asset Protection
Are you considering getting insurance? Then you will need to know the value of your business to get adequate coverage. An up-to-date business valuation can help you get the right insurance policy at the best price.
MBO/MBI
Management buy-outs and buy-ins are complex transactions. No matter if you are the buyer or the seller, you need to know the value of the business to ensure a reasonable deal.
Borrowing
Lenders want to know the value of your business before they give you a loan. Presenting a business valuation report will show how your business is doing financially, the projections for the future, and how much collateral you have.
Pension Planning
In creating a Self-Invested Pension Plan or Small Self-Administered Scheme, you need to know the value of your business. That way, you can make informed decisions about how much to contribute to your pension.
