National Professional Services Business of the Year – Winner at the Business Masters Awards
John Courtney, Chairman of Boardroom Advisors accepted the award at the Gala Dinner in Bristol.
The judging panel includes Sue Tumelty, founder of the HR Dept, Paul Appleby, director of Vid Communications and Sam Holliday from the Federation of Small Businesses.

Global Entrepreneur of the Year – Winner at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards
John Courtney, Founder of Boardroom Advisors has been awarded as Global Entrepreneur at The Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
Recognised annually as one of the most prestigious accolades in the entrepreneurial world, The Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards received over 5,000 applications this year alone.
A Triumph in a Highly Competitive Field
Making the shortlist is an achievement in its own right given the calibre of competition, underlining the significance of Boardroom Advisor’s win.
Previous winner James Watt, founder of BrewDog, said that winning was “better than winning the World Cup.” Steven Bartlett has gone as far as to dub the awards as “The Grammys of Entrepreneurship,” highlighting the glamour and prestige associated with the event.

Having founded eight companies, John Courtney, is a key character in the continuous drive for business growth in the South West, and across the UK. Alongside his work at Boardroom Advisors, which provides a team of 200+ fractional CxOs and part-time directors who offer services to small and medium sized businesses, he also uses his wealth of experience as a mentor at SETsquared, Entrepreneurial Spark and Microsoft for StartUps. He has also ranked 30 in the list of the top 100 UK entrepreneurs by CityAM.
